• Study data: Flashcards, sources, review history, FSRS parameters, and other content you create or import.
• AI inputs and outputs: Text you send for AI transformations/generation and the resulting content.
• Device/usage: Basic technical data needed to operate and secure the service (e.g., requests, logs).
• Cookies: Essential cookies/sessions for login and security; we do not use third-party advertising cookies.

How we use information

• Provide and secure your account and workspace.
• Power spaced-repetition features (FSRS scheduling, review tracking).
• Transform or generate content you request using AI.
• Maintain service reliability, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

AI processing

We use OpenAI to transform or generate content from the inputs you provide. Your prompts and outputs may be processed by OpenAI to deliver results. We do not allow AI providers to use your data to train their public models beyond what their standard service requires. Avoid submitting sensitive personal data in prompts.

Sharing your information

• Service providers: Hosting, storage, and AI processing (OpenAI). Future payments will be handled by Stripe; we do not store full payment details ourselves.
• Legal and safety: When required by law, to protect rights, or to prevent abuse.
• Business changes: In a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, subject to this Policy.

Data retention and control

We keep your study data while your account is active. You can export your data, delete content, or delete your profile from settings; we will remove associated data unless retention is required for legal or safety reasons. Backups may persist for a limited period.

International transfers

Your data may be processed in countries outside your own (including the EU and US) by our providers. We rely on appropriate safeguards such as contractual commitments when data moves across borders.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information. No online service is 100% secure; please keep your devices and Google account credentials safe.

Children

Adalyn is not directed to children under 13, and accounts may only be created by individuals who can lawfully use Google authentication.
